Traveler's Insurance
You should buy traveler's insurance as soon as you make your reservation, that way if you must cancel your plans after the cancellation deadline, you can be reimbursed for the deposit. In addition, travel insurance will secure your precious cargo (i.e. your bike, and your body) should something happen to it while en route, or on the road. It is your responsibility to insure yourself and your equipment. You may find a suitable insurance provider on the internet, or you can contact us and we would be happy to provide you with some suggestions. Road Ahead Bike Tours will not be responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged equipment.

Equipment
You provide your own bike for the tour since comfort and the fit are crucial for these rides. We suggest a hard shell bike box to transport your bike to the destination. Gearing is important since each ride will feature mountain roads, rolling hills and steep passes. Road Ahead Bike Tours suggests the use of a triple chain ring and moderately geared rear cluster. Helmets are REQUIRED! This is a tour and not a race. You will be riding for extended periods of time each day. The better your fitness level the more you will enjoy all the trip has to offer you.

Fitness Level
We recommend a fitness level of being able to ride various terrain 30 to 60 miles each day. Since we tailor the rides to each group, Road Ahead will be able to choose longer or shorter rides each morning. The support vehicle will be available for riders wanting to take a break. Having fun and enjoying your time in France is essential to Road Ahead Bike Tours, and we will work with you to make each day memorable. It's all about feeling fabulous in France!
